Just a quick thought about today’s game. How long does Fred Jackson have to drag people around a football field before his coach just gives him the ball and ceases to worry about it. At what point has anything Jackson has done imparted a need to the Buffalo Bills organization to draft or procure his replacement?
I was watching the game with my brother Jay today, and he correctly pointed out that the Bills have been trying to replace Jackson for about three years. Still I watch Jackson average 4.4 yards a carry. That’s a career average. That’s good.
This isn’t to make a case that Spiller is bad, or that it was a wasted pick. I honestly don’t care about Spiller. I prefer common sense to prevail and for talent to be recognized. Jackson is good and Spiller can wait.
