Joe Bucasglia has his own list, but here are five other things you could watch while the Bills take on the Colts in Toronto.
5) “Rounders” (FX, 5 p.m.)
I’m going to cheat a little bit with our first entry simply because it’s such a great movie. “21” (based on the great book “Bringing Down the House”) is on right after it, but if you have to choose between that or “Rounders,” let’s not kid ourselves. Mike McDermott’s adventure ends right before kickoff so “Rounders” is perfect for your living room tailgate. Just don’t splash the pot.
4) “Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations” (Travel, 5 p.m.-10 p.m.)
No, it’s not a five hour-episode. There’s a mini-marathon running tonight you may want to check out.
3) “Parks and Recreation” (NBC, 9:30 p.m.)
Yeah, it’s a repeat — “Telethon” — but I love the heck out of this show. I’m super bummed that it’s not coming back until mid-season, but it’s easily my favorite of the NBC Thursday night comedies.
2) “Dazed and Confused” (TV Guide, 7:30 p.m.- 9:30 p.m.)
One thing I like about this film is that I keep getting older, but the characters stay the saaaaaame age.
1) “Jersey Shore” (MTV, 10 p.m.)
The game should pretty much be over by the time Snooki and Co. hit the streets of Miami. This season has almost been better than the first with the exception of the lame and manufactured storyline featuring Ronnie and Sammi.
In all seriousness though, you should just turn down your television and listen to “The Late Nick Mendola Program” from 7-10 p.m. tonight on WECK 1230AM. I’ll be there with Nick and the venerable Mike Cline, Jr. watching the game. It’ll be like “Mystery Science Theater 3000” but with football.
