The Obstinacy

Why the obstinacy? Check out the always-important list of animal group names. I think we can make it stick.

A friend of mine recently started a sports blog of his own called It’s Always Game Seven. Like any good Buffalo sports blog, one of his first posts is about soccer. Give him a chance, I think you’ll like what you see.

I really love that this became an actual news item. I also love that they actually do test all the bathroom units at once. I have a feeling this is a “learning from experience” kind of thing…

This was an interesting little note I saw last week: the Redzone Channel will be on in every stadium next season. I have no idea how they will use it, but hopefully it means better highlights and fantasy updates at the stadium.

By now we’ve all heard about the Perfect Game that wasn’t, but if you haven’t read Posnanski’s take on it you’re really missing out. I know we link to Joe’s work a lot here, but he’s really one of the baseball voices you should look for when interesting things happen in the game.

The last few weeks have been interesting as someone who is slowly becoming a bigger fan of the NBA. Bethlehem Shoals has a great post about the Finals and LeBron and, well, if you like the NBA you’ll like it.

As someone who spent a lot of time reading about the future of newspapers, this was an interesting read. If you’re as interested as I am, I have something a bit longer you could read if you ask…
