We’ve talked a lot about Alrodis Chapman here in the Roost, but that’s only because we saw him pitch in person. But while Chapman has struggled to get things together, that other kid with a wicked fastball has been nothing short of spectacular in the minor leagues. So, tonight we go see what Stephen Strasburg can do in Rochester.
We were going to wait until he comes to Buffalo in early June, but he honestly might not make it until then. Depending on how things to tonight, he may never get a chance to light up the big board at Coca Cola Field, so we decided to take a road trip. I’ve heard nothing but good things about Frontier Field, so I expect to have a good time despite the chance of rain. Chris and I will be making the trip with a friend and special guest Paul from Hockey Rhetoric, so I’m sure we’ll have something to say even if the game gets banged.
There’s a ton of hockey and Yankees/Red Sox on tonight, but the Roost will be in Rochester for the night. Should be fun.
