The Harsh Road Trip Begins

by Ryan

Six games in and the Sabres already get a vacation.

A trip to Ft. Lauderdale is never the worst thing in the world, even if it’s for business. Tonight the Sabres try to bounce back after a headscratching loss against Atlanta on Saturday night. It also marks just their second road game of the season. In fact, today is the beginning of a grueling stretch of three games in twelve days.

In other words, tonight is a road game they have no excuse to lose. Same time zone, they’ve been there for days, and there will probably be more Sabres fans in Sunrise tonight than Panther fans. Some might still be mourning the loss of Daniel Paille, but tonight we get to see just what our new pickup can do.

Third Round Draft Pick looks to make a huge impact on the team, and a look at his numbers should get you excited for sure. We’re not sure if he will crack the lineup tonight, but we do know that Thomas Vanek will be back tonight, which is certainly welcome news.

A Sabres team at full strength should equal a win in Sunrise. No excuses. Florida’s a team off to a bad start and until Saturday the Sabres were relatively flawless. I can’t help but expect the trends to comtinue tonight.

7:30 from Sunrise. Rich won’t be there this time but, then again, no one else will either.

Aw man, I thought that was going to link to stats from all our third round draft picks. That would have been cool.
