It’s been said a thousand times this season, the Sabres have too many forwards. Today Darcy did something about that, turning Dan Paille into draft picks:
WGR 550 has learned that the Sabres have traded forward Dan Paille to the Boston Bruins in exchange for a 3rd round draft choice and a conditional pick. The conditional pick could become a 4th rounder depending on Paille production with the Bruins.
Paille was a first round draft choice of the Sabres (20th overall) in 2002.
Paille looked to be the odd man out after Clarke MacArthur’s fast start and Tim Kennedy’s strong play, so a trade isn’t completely surprising. We’ll have more in this later, but for now, mourn the loss of a mid-range threat that looks to be completely replaceable. Yeah, something like that.
