They (almost) all come down to one final game.
Wednesday night provides the final round in the Capitals-Penguins bout.
It’s on Washington’s ice so expect an extra giddy-up in Ovechkin’s step as soon as the puck drops.
Thursday we have the deciding games between the Ducks and Red Wings and Boston and Carolina (although scheduling one at 7 and the other at 8 isn’t exactly ideal).
I’m not sure anyone really gave Anaheim or the Hurricanes the credit they deserved going into the second round–I know I didn’t–but they’ve each put on a helluva show in the last week.
It’s been a long time since we’ve seen a playoff round this exciting.
Let’s get it on.
