Red Hat Society

If you don’t follow my Twitter breathlessly, you probably aren’t aware of the reason the site was pretty quiet today. Currently I am in Loveland, Ohio where I’ll be staying for Easter. This trip means no Bandits press box coverage (although I will be writing about them), no final Sabres game (which I was invited to), and a whole lot of the Masters.

I just got internet access back, which means I have a lot of catching up to do. One of the things I caught up on was this, which is actually pretty shocking. See, when the T.O. thing went down and he wore that hat, the first thing I thought was that it was the only thing they had lying around. Truth be told, that’s not the kind of thing I’d drop 25 bucks on.

I suppose the fact that it is #2 in hat sales says something, I’m just not sure what. Either they sell very few hats, or the impact Owens has on the fan base is much greater than I imagined. Then again, this bad boy could very well be the best seller. Hey, it’s on sale!

Every year I somehow get sucked in to buying a new Bills and Sabres hat. I’m not sure why, because I never wear them. I’ll tell you right now, the Owens hat isn’t going to be that purchase. Maybe I’ll get the draft day hat (see above). All they do to that is change a few minor details and rehash the same product. Sounds like Buffalo sports to me!

The moral of the story is: I am very tired. Also, Twitter may not provide you the most useful of information, but it is at the very least entertaining. I’m not sure my Twitter is anything more than mildly interesting, but that’s for another time. I promise to be around much more often this weekend. Heck, I might even catch a Reds game.
